Firefox has been a massively innovative browser; bringing tabbed browsing and plugins to the masses. Here I list what I consider to be essential firefox plugins (aka extensions). This list is quite old now and some of these have been incorporated into firefox. I’ll be writing an updated list soon, in the meantime, let me know in the comments what extensions/plugins/tweaks and hacks you love!
LastTab
Allows tab navigation in a most recently used manner.
The first thing I noticed on installing FF was the lack of this feature.
Duplicate Tab
Allows you to duplicate a tab, with forward/back history (much like Ctrl-N in MSIE).
The second thing I noticed was the lack of this feature.
undoclosetab
Adds Undo Close Tab.
Copy Plain Text
Copies text without html formatting
miniT (drag+indicator)
Adds tab dragging with drop place indicator.
Statusbar Clock
Display customisable date and time in your status bar.
Save original url when you save a page
yet another ‘shouldn’t have to be an extension’
fireFTP
FTP client – still in beta, but works nicely.
Adsense Notifier
Displays your adsense earnings on the statusbar.
BugMeNot
Bypass compulsory web registration with the context menu via www.bugmenot.com.
GreaseMonkey
Allows you to insert custom javascript to selected websites, allowing you, eg, to add numbers to the results pages of google.
TinyUrl Creator
TinyUrl brings the tinyurl.com functionality into your browser. It takes a long URL as input, and gives you a short URL to use in it’s place.
I now just use ‘add keyword for this search’ and type, eg “tiny google.com” to get the URL instead
CTC
Adds “Close Tab” to the context menu.
No longer needed for Firefox 2
ShowIP
Show the IP address of the current page in the status bar. It also allows querying custom services by IP (right mouse button) and Hostname (left mouse button), like whois, netcraft. Additionally you can copy the IP address to the clipboard. This extension was formerly known as ipv6ident.
Tamper Data
View and modify HTTP/HTTPS headers etc.
SwitchProxy Tool
A tool that allows you to manage and switch between multiple proxy configurations quickly and easily.
Google Images Re-Linker
Jumps directly to the full-size image on images.google.com.
View Rendered Source
Displays Color Coded and Styled Rendered Source
JS Console Filter
Adds the abiity to filter messages in the JavaScript Console by Source File.
User Agent Switcher
Adds a menu and a toolbar button to switch the user agent of the browser.
StumbleUpon
StumbleUpon Toolbar, great for avoiding work!
WebmailCompose
Makes mailto work with gmail (or hotmail, yahoo, etc)’s compose page and adds a Compose link to the context menu.
Blockfall
A falling blocks game, with hexagonal and triangular variants.
Minesweeper
The classic game, and a hexagonal variant
Card Games
A collection of patience cards games

I’m amazed you have all those extensions, but no MR Tech Local Install: http://www.mrtech.com/extensions/local_install/
